Conagra Brands, 6 Kitchen Hacks

01 Reheat me right.jpg

Nothing is more comforting than a delicious homemade meal. Enjoying this moment every day, however, is easier said than done, since the kitchen work can demand a lot of time and effort. Lucky for us, Conagra Brands has put together six hacks designed to #FlavorYourFun and make home cooking (and even cleaning!) easier. You’d surely wish you knew these sooner.

01 Hunt's Garlic and Herb Pasta Sauce.png

Reheat me right. We all know that it’s wise to double the amount of spaghetti with Hunt’s Pasta Sauce that we cook, so we can freeze the excess and reheat for future meals. When it’s time to serve, make sure you’ve got the dish heated through by arranging the pasta into a doughnut shape before popping it into the microwave. The empty space at the center will ensure that the heat is evenly distributed.

02 Ready-to-baste.jpg

Ready-to-baste. Do you often baste your fillets with fresh herbs? Save yourself some time by keeping a container of herbed Blue Bonnet Margarine cubes in your freezer. All you have to do is melt your favorite margarine in a pan, then add grated garlic, minced fresh herbs and lemon zest. Once the mixture cools down, pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze. Melt one or two of these herbed margarine cubes into a pan each time you cook.

03 Spruce up your salads.jpg

Spruce up your salads. Get creative by swapping out the usual croutons with Act II Sweet and Salty Kettle Corn Popcorn. Other than adding crunch and flavor to your greens, the popcorn allows you to consume more fiber too. You can also top off your soups and pastas with popcorn to help cut through the rich flavor.

04 No more sticking.jpg

No more sticking. To prevent fried dishes from sticking, always line your pan with PAM Original Cooking Spray. This product also works wonders for grilled and baked creations. Aside from helping out with the cooking part, moms have sworn that using PAM on kitchen equipment makes cleaning easier.

05 Leftover transformation.jpg

Leftover transformation. A can of Libby’s Corned Beef could yield more hash than you could eat. Instead of throwing the leftover, use it to make a mean frittata the next day. Just crack two to three eggs into your hash, some minced veggies, season with salt and pepper, and pour the mixture into a pan to cook for 5-10 minutes. Top with cherry tomatoes.

06 Shake-shake sauce.jpg

Shake-shake sauce. Before you say goodbye to the seemingly finished jar of your favorite Peter Pan Creamy Peanut Butter, throw in a few tablespoons of hot water, soy sauce, grated ginger, sesame oil, crushed garlic, rice wine vinegar, and sriracha. Put the lid back on and shake and you’ve got yourself homemade satay sauce that goes well with grilled meat.
