Comida de Navidad

Enjoy a special holiday feast every Sunday, from 11:30AM to 2:30PM at Vask Tapas Room. Indulge in an unlimited spread of Christmas offerings featuring Chicken Relleno, Cochinillo, Paella, Queso de Bola, Honey Glazed Leg of Ham and an authentic selection of Tapas perfectly paired with free-flowing Sangrias!

I am a Vask newbie, I’ve been wanting to try and have been salivating for Vask. However, it being in The Fort area, my dream needed to take a back seat.

Manila’s most awesome food bloggers

I was lucky enough to have been invited by Mr. Stonibert Lim to join them and try Vask’s newest buffet offering, Comida de Navidad. At first I hesitated, it is just too far, and I needed to finish some work done. Though, I guess my foodie side won this battle as all stars came together and showed path that I may be able to join Manila’s most awesome food bloggers for brunch.

Nice Interiors

Since it was my first time in Vask, I took time to appreciate the interiors, and surroundings. When in Vask, you would think you are in a different place, not in Manila, not in BGC. The place is relax, and intimate, perfect for couples or for small family, or for friends to hang-out and just forget the traffic and noise.

It would also be smart to reserve in advance when trying out the buffet, since the place is quiet small and limited.

Concinillo

When I saw this on the buffet, I immediately stopped taking photos, grabbed a plate, started hoarding, and begun eating. Again, my first pick was the cheeks. Always get the cheek! No one eats pork cheeks in lechon, I tell you… It is the best part!

Paella Negra

What is a Spanish feast without Paella? Served with Fish Fillet, and Aioli.

Honey Cured Ham

This was served with Cherry Glaze

Callos

I love Callos, and Vask’s Callos is just AWESOME! The texture, consistency, and flavor is just perfect! This is a must!

Mr. Jeng (www.foodinthebag.com)  having his share of Sangria

Did I mention free-flowing unlimited Sangrias is included in the buffet? If I did already, it is really worth mentioning again. The Red Wine based one is flavored with berries, while the White Wine based is flavored with mango. Both equally good, but I prefer the Red Sangria just because I love berries.

Pulpo a la Gallega

What is going to a Tapas Room without Tapas? I love the Pulpo a la Gallega, the octopus has the right flavor, and texture.

Boquerones

Fresh anchovies marinated in Olive Oil, Herbs, Acid, and Garlic.

First Plate

I was lucky to be in company with food bloggers, I just could not stop eating… All food was presented beautifully, and more than that, dishes were properly made and well-executed.

Second Plate

I needed to stop myself from stuffing myself too much, even if I wanted too. I still need to attend a few more events after. But food is Vask is really worth the hype.

Food, photography, and laughter

Some could say the buffet selection in Vask is quiet limited, but I personally look for quality first in food than quantity. I eat a lot, and that is why I prefer to eat food made with quality ingredients over a buffet that offers a huge spread but is really inedible.
