Gram Cafe & Pancakes open in SM Megamall

Instagram-famous jiggly Souffle Pancakes from Japan is finally in Manila!!! Gram Cafe & Pancakes opened their first branch in SM Megamall, Fashion Hall last February 09, 2020, to the delight of awaiting foodies.

Truth be told, more than the famous Souffle Pancakes, I was more excited for the sweet salty pancake creations of Gram Cafe & Pancakes. I’ll list down 5 menu items you must try when trying this restaurant out.

1.) Bacon & Scrambled Eggs Pancakes (425php)

Probably one of my faves among the 5 on this list. Fluffy, creamy Egg, served with thick slices of cured Bacon, and nice soft Pancakes. Think of this as a Chicken & Waffle dish, where you get sweet, salty, umami in one bite. Though, I personally recommend a side of syrup when ordering this dish. Trust me… You will be craving for more.

2.) Chili Bean & Sausage Pancakes (445php)

If you want a heartier savory dish, go for this one. Mild tasting Chili Bean, with robust Sausage, Breakfast Potatoes, and Pancakes complete this dish. I happily scooped out the beans using the fluffy pancakes. I didn’t really longed for syrup with this one…

3.) Mixed Berries French Toast (415php)

For the longest time, I guess this is the best French Toast I had in Manila by far. I like that the bread is not soggy but just properly dipped in that custard mixture. The dish also isn’t too sweet, but properly complimented with a generous serving of Vanilla Ice Cream.

4.) Tiramisu Pancakes (395php)

This and the Apple & Tea Cream are two creations I was really looking forward to. Sadly, I wasn’t able to try the latter. I had my fair share of Tiramisu Pancakes that didn’t really work. But, I am very happy to say that this one is so damn good!!! The Mascarpone layer lends its creamy texture to the dark flavor of Cocoa and Chocolate.

5.) Premium Pancake (385php)

Of course, you cannot leave Gram Cafe & Pancakes without trying their signature Premium Pancakes. They only serve 30 dishes of this product per time slot, 11am 3pm, and 6pm. I suggest you time your visit accordingly to get the chance to try this one out.

Overall, I was very much satisfied and happy with Manila’s first Gram Cafe & Pancake. Wishing all the best to the team behind this franchise, and I hope their detail to quality will not change.
