The Cafe, Hyatt Hotel

Buffet

Buffet

The Cafe is Hyatt’s 24/7 buffet service restaurant. My brother booked us here for dinner on our one night stay in Nobu Hotel. Why? ‘Cause from the reviews he read, Roast Beef carving here is supposedly good, and tender. That is all he eats when dining in almost any buffet restaurant.

Carving Station

For the price, I must say, dinner here is not bad as I first expected. Beef is tender, not that flavorful, but tender and can easily remedied with sauce or gravy. Conchinillo is rosemary infused, a little lean and is a little dry, but skin is crispy. 🙂 I kinda forgot to ask for the cheeks though. 😦

Grilled Slipper Lobster

Grilled Slipper Lobster

As with any other buffet, my first “victim” would usually be a mountain of Grilled Slipper Lobster, for “sharing” of course. ;p

First Plate

First Plate

My first plate would usually be from the carving section, and some food selections that I want to try. Tip though: Don’t leave The Cafe without having mounds and mounds of their Tempura. By far, it is the best I’ve ever tasted , in a buffet setting.

Cheese Section

Cheese Section

They also have a Cheese Section, selection is quite limited but good.

The Asian

Peking Duck, and Dim Sums are not bad as well. I usually have my Peking Duck without the wrapper, I am not sure whether the pancake wrapper is good or not.

The Comfort and Favourites

The Comfort and Favourites

This section is where you get your Tempura. By all means, focus only on the Tempura.

The Pastry

They also serve Ice Cream, and Crème Brûlée, which I failed to take photo of.

Fresh Fruits

Fresh Fruits

This section is connected with their Salad Section and not with the Dessert Bar.

Food in general is not bad, something I would definitely go back to in the future. Selection is quite limited but understandable because the price is not too expensive. I prefer to have a buffet with few selections but with food of quality than a buffet with tons of selection without anything good in it.
