Built under the banner of passion, promise and excellence, Jack Meets Kaldi, a quaint coffee shop in the City of Tarlac, promises to deliver quality specialty coffee to consumers, and educate locals to the idea of specialty coffee, by supporting and empowering local growers and artisans.

A tribute to Raul, the father of Jack Meets Kaldi CEO, Kristine, she partnered with coffee learned individual Mark and Angelo and opened the coffee shop in Tarlac that opts to create awareness, support, to build a community as one specialty baristas, enthusiasts, and professionals to have the best possible events and promotion that will benefit our local specialty coffee industry.

The coffee shop insist on only serving Specialty Coffee or coffee seeds which gained a score of 80 points or above from a 100 points scale are graded as Specialty. Specialty coffees are grown in an ideal climates, and are distinctive because of their full cup taste and little to no defects. The distinct flavors and tastes are result of the special characteristics and composition of the soils in which they are produced.

In order to ensure that these beans’ distinct flavors are highlighted, the company decided to roast their own beans as well. This is done to help them prioritize quality over quantity, by roasting small batches, testing and trying the best roast profile for each particular bean.

Still after more than a year, Jack Meets Kaldi is determined and is built to cater carrying international standards and exceptional hospitality.

Most coffee shops usually serves mediocre food, Jack Meets Kaldi is determined to overhaul that stigma, and promises to put the same passion they have in their coffee into the making of their food.

During our visit, the coffee shop was celebrating their first year anniversary and they were also planning to dish out new menu items.

Pizza Double Pepperoni
A pizza margharita base with double portion of pepperoni, topped with  
sweet onion tropea and oregano

Pizza Arrosto di Maiale
A pizza margharita base with roasted pork ribs, onion, tomato wedges and arugula

English Breakfast
Braised beans, topped with english bangers, sausages, bacon, grilled tomato, slow roasted  mushrooms and pouched egg on your toasted bread.  

Kaldi’s Turkey Frittata
Traditional Italian Sandwich, smoked turkey with
egg frittata.

Hungarian Sausage Sandwich
Smoked hungarian style sausage sandwich w/ jalapeno. Served with side salad, potato wedge and mustard

Shrimp Delight
Shrimp cocktail in cabbage salad and celery curls

Jack’s Signature Salad
Traditional salad served with lemon dressing

Kaldi’s Insalata Di Gamberi
Mixed greens with shrimps and orange served with avocado dressing.

Kaldi’s Penne Al Fredo
Penne pasta in creamy sauce with chicken and forest mushrooms.

Insalata Stagionale
Seasonal garden salad with shaved parmesan cheese, tomato wedges and croutons, serves with balsamic dressings

Ravioli Mezzaluna con Porcini e Spinaci
Mushroom stuffed pasta mezzaluna in creamy sauce and  spinach

Baked Salmon Crosta
Fillet of salmon coated by bread crumbs and parmesan cheese, serves with mashed potato and roumalade sauce  

Fisherman’s Wharf
Tagliatelle pasta served with fantastic seafood marinara sauce

Rib-Eye, T-Bone, Lamb Chops
Served with pepper sauce and roumalade sauce, carrots, string beans, fried potato and polenta
