Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila presents an exclusive champagne dinner at the lavish French bistro, Le Bar, in celebration of French Week. In homage to Sofitel’s French heritage, a vibrant 5-course menu paired with exquisite Nicolas Feuillatte champagne sets the distinctive tone for a unique gastronomic engagement.
Navigated by Sofitel’s very own French Chef Julien Cossé, joined by AWC Philippines Managing Director and Nicolas Feuillatte representative JP Guillot, the bespoke dinner showcases l’art culinaire Français (French culinary art) in a set menu.
Starters included Baked Oysters with Spinach, Guanciale, Champagne Sabayon, Dill and Salmon Caviar paired with Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Reserve.
Foie Gras Terrine with Calvados, Salted Butter, and Caramelized Apple, Granny Smith and Raisin Chutney, Toasted Brioche partnered with the Nicolas Feuillatte Demi Sec.
For mains, Chef Julien prepared a Lobster Tortellini à l’Américaine elevated by Nicolas Feuillatte Blanc de Blanc.
Lamb Wellington, Roasted Baby Vegetables, Truffled Gratin Dauphinoise, Au Jus and Cacao complemented by the Nicolas Feuillatte Palmes d’Or Brut Vintage 2006.
For a sweet ending, Gianduja Pistachio Crunch with Raspberry Yogurt Sorbet is refreshingly paired with the Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Rosé.
