National Food Fair 2019

The 2019 National Food Fair (NFF) billed as “Philippines Cuisine and Ingredients Show” is organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion in cooperation with the DTI’s Regional and Provincial Offices, with the support of the Department of Tourism and La Germania. The NFF is ongoing until March 17, 2019 at the Megatrade Halls of SM Megamall. Fair hours are from 10:00AM to 09:00PM. Good news, admission is free!!!

The NFF is a platform for micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs (MSME’s) to showcase the best Philippine food products. It has an added food and tourism festival component with live cooking demonstrations by featured chefs and food tasting activities to promote the country as a culinary destination.

The four-day retail and order-taking activities will feature 233 MSME’s from 1t6 regions who are engaged in the production of processed food and beverages, regional delicacies, dietary supplements, fresh produce, herbs and cooking ingredients. Joining the vent are DOT-accredited operators of farm tourism destinations.

Some things you can look forward to during the four-day event:

Island Kitchen (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao)

Live cooking demonstrations by respected culinary experts are designed to celebrate heirloom Kapampangan cuisine as well as reinvent the food experience with new and innovative recipes using bamboo shoots for Luzon, Sugar Cane for Visayas, and Cacao for Mindanao as main ingredients.

Food Pavilions

Explore the variety of halal food, spices, and seasonings, fruit wines, products made from cacao displayes at the food pavilion.

Design Center of the Philippines (DCP) Special Setting

A showcase of innovative packaging assistance provided by the DCP for MSME manufacturers of specialty rice, banana chips, atchara, and condiments.

OTOP Hub

OTOP Philippines HUb or OTOP.ph is a showcase of the OTOP next generation products OTOP Hub is a retail store or space where products of the DTI’s One Town, One Product program can be found. Catering to the mainstream market, local buyers and tourists, these outlets offer quality, transformed, and standards-compliant OTOP products.

KAPEtirya/Coffee Pavilion

The KAPEtirya or coffee pavilion aims to promote quality Philippine coffee blends and Philippine coffee brands, namely: Magallaya, Hineleban, Starkaffea, Al-ways Brewed, and Holsum Foods. together with the coffee exhibitors are suppliers of native delicacies and bakery products that go well with coffee.
