Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, in partnership with AWC Philippines, takes guests to the Mediterranean coast of Spain in a night of Spanish barbecue and cava with Codorniu All in White on the 4th of October 2019 at the Seawall Garden.

Presented in celebration of Wine Days, a month-long series of fêtes centered on fine vintages that elegantly represent Sofitel’s savoir faire, the evening highlights an exquisite collection from Codorniu, prestigious for its Spanish sparkling wine or cava. With its wealth of terroirs and diversity of blends, the world-renowned wine culture of France showcased by Sofitel allows connoisseurs to discover distinct features and taste profiles of premium vintages from the world’s most distinct wine regions.

Codorniu All in White features a hearty Spanish barbecue spread including the classic favorites jamón serrano, croquetas de jamón, ensalada mixta, paella negra, bacalhau, and porchetta to name a few, aptly paired with a premium selection of Codorniu wines featuring the flagship Anna de Codorníu Rosé. Guests are encouraged to don white chic attire for a delightful evening backdropped by the picturesque Manila Bay.

Codorníu is the world’s oldest and second-largest producer of cava and was established by a family of winegrowers dating back to the 16^th century. It is the oldest family business in Spain and takes pride in its sustainable winegrowing practices and meticulously-harvested grapes that combine innovation and tradition in the cava making process.

For the whole month of October, discerning connoisseurs are welcome to embark on a voyage du vin (journey of wine) as they discover highly-coveted wines from the Old and New Worlds. A global ambassador of savoir faire, Sofitel showcases the renowned wine culture of France as it is known worldwide for its wealth of terroirs and diversity of blends that feature various taste profiles.

Wine dinners are regularly organized at Sofitel Manila, featuring world-renowned wine regions and vineyards in celebration of gastronomy and wine that is traditionally French and truly Sofitel. Codorníu wines are available at Spiral and Le Bar by the glass or bottle.

A unique experience you surely don’t want to miss. Excite your palate and indulge in a wide array of artisanal, boutique and top quality wines in a wonderful Wine Walkabout. Enjoy wine and food pairings in a tour of Sofitel restaurants while exploring fresh new vintages and a lineup of the finest French wines.

WINE O’CLOCK

Sunset Bar | Every Monday to Thursday | 4pm-7pm

Delight in the view of the iconic Manila Bay sunset and its playful pink skies whilst having a glass of Rosé in hand and enjoying a delightful antipasti platter. Enjoy this perfect combination to relax and unwind after a long day.

Wine O’Clock is priced at Php 1,999 nett inclusive of a bottle of R de Roubine Rose Wine and Antipasti Platter.

SANGRIA AT SUNSET

Get immersed in playful flavors as Sunset Bar presents the favorite Spanish concoction—the sangria. Savor and discover the sangrias in different refreshing mixes, from strong and dry to sweet and fruity. Spoil yourself with options of four different flavors made with red, white, rosé  or sparkling wine.

Sangria at Sunset is available daily at Sunset Bar, priced at Php 500 nett per glass and Php 1,600 nett per pitcher.

DINE BY THE SUNSET

Dine al fresco with an unparalleled view of the iconic Manila Bay Sunset. Featuring a private outdoor canopy and live cooking by masterful chefs, enjoy a romantic dinner date featuring a menu of sumptuous grilled favorites tailored to taste for discerning gourmands.

Dine by the Sunset is priced at at Php13,000 nett for two persons, inclusive of a set menu with wine pairings.
